How I got my nick name Dalova. I love the Dragons of Pern & read Anne McCaffrey's books many years ago. I saw the name Dalova & just fell in love with her & her dragon Perforth. She was strong & independent & loved her dragon. Since then it has been pointed out her dragon is Queen Allaneth.

It is also pronounce Da lo va with the a's short & the o is long. Even though Perforth doesn't exist he is still special to me because he was there in the beginning.

Dalova of Igen Weyr: rider of queen Allaneth. Weyrwoman at Igen Weyr [Mor]. In the Dragondexes (not in the book itself) of both the US and UK mmp and (trade) paperback editions of Moreta, Dalova's queen is mistakenly called Perforth, a dragon who doesn't even exist according to the lists in the second edition of the Dragonlover's Guide to Pern
